What video monetization gives you

Platform payouts are opaque and the audience belongs to someone else. With CastNest you set the price, you own the viewer list, and the money lands in your own payment account.

  • Pay-per-view events

Sell tickets to a single live broadcast or a recorded film, with access granted automatically on payment.

  • Subscriptions

Run recurring monthly or annual plans that unlock a channel, a playlist or your whole catalog.

  • In-stream advertising

Insert pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll ads through any VAST-compatible ad server and keep the inventory yours.

  • Coupons and free trials

Run launch discounts, comp tickets for press and sponsors, or open a limited free preview window.

  • Global payments

Take card payments in multiple currencies through a Stripe or PayPal account you connect yourself.

  • Revenue reporting

Track sales, refunds, active subscribers and churn next to the viewing data for the same content.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about video monetization on CastNest.

Does CastNest take a cut of my revenue?

Monetization is included in your plan fee rather than charged as a revenue share. In-stream advertising is available from Growth upwards and the paywall from Premium upwards. Payments run through your own connected account, so only the usual payment processor fees apply.

Which monetization models are supported?

Three: pay-per-view for one-off ticketed events or rentals, subscriptions for recurring access to a channel or library, and advertising through any VAST-compatible ad server. You can mix models across different content.

Can I sell tickets to a live event before it starts?

Yes. Create the event, set the price and publish the landing page ahead of time. Buyers get access automatically when the broadcast begins, and the recording can stay available afterwards if you choose.

How do I stop people sharing a paid stream?

Paid streams use signed, expiring URLs tied to the purchase, and you can add concurrent-session limits, domain restrictions and geo-blocking on top.
