What video hosting gives you
A YouTube embed brings someone else's recommendations onto your page. CastNest hosting gives you the same reliability with none of that: no ads, no suggested videos, no competitor content at the end of the reel.
Adaptive on-demand streaming
Uploads are transcoded into a full HLS ladder so playback stays smooth from 3G to gigabit fiber.
Organized libraries
Group videos into folders, playlists and channels, then publish an entire collection with one embed.
Automatic live archiving
Finished broadcasts land in your VOD library automatically, so a live event becomes evergreen content the moment it ends.
Bulk upload and API
Move an existing catalog across with bulk upload, or wire CastNest into your CMS with the video API.
Subtitles and captions
Attach WebVTT caption tracks in multiple languages to widen reach and meet accessibility requirements.
Granular access control
Password-protect a video, restrict it to named domains, block whole regions or issue expiring signed URLs.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about video hosting on CastNest.
How much video storage do I get?
Storage scales with your plan: 100 GB on Starter, 200 GB on Growth, 2 TB on Premium, and 3 TB on Studio and Events. If your catalog is larger than that, talk to us about a custom plan.
Will ads or other people's videos appear on my content?
Never. CastNest hosting is completely ad-free and the player shows only your content. From Growth, you can also remove CastNest branding entirely.
What video formats can I upload?
MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WMV, FLV and most other common containers are accepted. Everything is transcoded to HLS on ingest, so viewers always receive an adaptive stream regardless of the source format.
Can I stop people downloading or re-hosting my videos?
Yes. Domain allowlisting stops your embed working on sites you have not approved, signed URLs expire after a set window, and AES encryption protects the underlying media segments.
Works well with
Video Monetization
Charge for a single event, sell a monthly subscription, or run ads against your library — CastNest supports all three, and you keep the customer relationship.
Video Security
Layered protection — encryption, expiring tokens, domain locks and regional rules — applied per stream or across your whole account.
Video CDN
Your stream is served from the edge location closest to each viewer, so a broadcast from London plays as cleanly in Sydney as it does in Manchester.
