Pricing questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 7 days on the Starter plan. No card is needed to start it, and it is available once per account. The other plans are not offered on trial; if you want to evaluate Growth, Premium, Studio or Events, talk to the sales team.
Is there a free plan?
No. CastNest is a paid platform starting at $19.99 per month, and the 7-day trial on Starter is how you evaluate it. Every paid plan includes the branded channel page, RTMP ingest, access to 30+ supported platforms within your destination allowance, an embeddable player and basic analytics.
How much do I save by paying yearly?
Annual billing saves 20% against the monthly price on every plan. Premium, for example, is $149.99 a month billed monthly, or $1,439 a year — the equivalent of $119.92 a month.
What is a stream slot, and what does reallocatable mean?
A stream slot is one live channel you can broadcast or publish at a time. Reallocatable means you can move a slot between a live stream and a prerecorded channel as your needs change, rather than being locked to a fixed split. Each plan also caps how many of those slots can be prerecorded channels.
Does multistreaming to more destinations use more bandwidth?
Not from your allowance or your connection. Your encoder sends one feed and replication to each social destination happens in our cloud. Player bandwidth measures what is delivered to viewers through the CastNest player and your embeds.
What is player bandwidth?
The total data delivered to viewers through the CastNest player and your embeds in a billing month, across both live and on-demand playback. Video pushed out to third-party platforms through multistreaming is not counted against it.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with the remaining balance prorated. Changes are managed from your account, and your billing cycle can be switched between monthly and yearly at the same time.
What happens if I exceed my bandwidth or storage?
You are notified as you approach the limit so you can move up a plan before it becomes a problem. We do not cut a live broadcast off mid-event because of an allowance.
What payment methods do you accept?
Billing runs through Stripe, so all major credit and debit cards are accepted. Larger customers can arrange annual invoicing — contact the sales team.
Do you offer discounts for non-profits or education?
Yes. Registered charities, houses of worship and educational institutions can request discounted pricing through the contact form.
