What video analytics gives you

View counts alone tell you very little. CastNest reports where viewers came from, how long they stayed and the exact moment they dropped off, so your next broadcast can be better than the last.

  • Real-time viewer counts

Watch viewer numbers move live during a broadcast and see the effect of a promotion within seconds.

  • Retention curves

A second-by-second graph of when people arrived and when they left, so you can see what lost them.

  • Location and device

Break the audience down by country, city, browser, operating system and device class.

  • Per-destination reporting

Compare performance across YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and your own embed side by side in one report.

  • Quality of experience

Monitor startup time, rebuffering ratio and delivered bitrate to catch delivery problems early.

  • Exports and API

Download CSV reports or pull the same metrics through the API into your own BI stack.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about video analytics on CastNest.

How current is the real-time data?

Concurrent viewer counts refresh every few seconds during a live broadcast. Aggregated reports such as retention and geography are finalized within a few minutes of the stream ending.

Do I see analytics for social platforms too?

You see CastNest delivery metrics for all destinations, plus viewer counts reported back by platforms that expose them through their APIs. Metrics that a platform keeps private remain in that platform's own dashboard.

How long is analytics data retained?

Historical reporting is retained for 12 months. Advanced analytics are included from Premium upwards, and data export is available on Studio and Events, so you can keep your own records indefinitely.
